First Start-UP

Starting Playnite opens Playnite as minimized Instance
Upon first Startup you will be met with some Warning messages. This is normal just ignore them and continue

The first startup is one of the most overwhelmingly parts of this Guide as your Instance is still not Configured completely and will throw some Error messages. You need to complete some steps to remove them.

Ludusavi

Now if you Installed Playnite from scratch you already have Ludusavi bundled in the Install but will need to configure the exact Path of the Executable (this is normal and needed to allow for the sheer mass of installation options) for this you simply need to follow these steps:

1. Open Playnite and click on the Playnite logo on top and select "Add-ons..."
   
2. Now you will see the Add-ons menu here you want to open the "Extension settings"
3. Under "Generic" and "Ludusavi" you will be met with all setting that can be changed and we will come to that in a later point of time but for now we just want to change "Name of full path of the Ludusavi executable"
4. You can now enter the path of your Playnite Instance with "\ludusavi\ludusavi.exe" at the end or use the "Browse" button
5. After that just select "Save" and you are ready to go

Library

As you want to play and see your Games you will need to customize some settings and/or Scan your PC for Games
For this Start-UP setup we will just cover the Scanning part as it will be what most will need to do and we will cover every Library Integration and Setup in the separate Configuration Chapter.

1. Open Playnite and click on the Playnite Logo on top
2. Select "Add Game" and use "Scan Automatically" this will open a new Window to scan your PC
3. Here you have 3 options to continue (you can also use multiple)
   1. Add an Game Manually by locating the executable on your system ("Browse..." button)
   2. Scan a entire Game folder (ex. Steamapps folder) ("Scan Folder..." button)
   3. Let Playnite search your PC and Index all Drives and Folders for Game executables ("Detect Installed" button)
4. Now that you have imported all your Games, you select "Add Games" and wait until Playnite added all necessary information it finds on the various Metadata services bundled in our Playnite Install
